    Description

    1869 Shield Nickel
    There is a scratch on the left side of the front of the coin under the arrow visible in the second picture. I never use stock photos so the coin pictured is the exact coin being offered for sale. Coins are very difficult to photograph so most coins will look slightly better in hand than they do in the pictures.
    I purchased this coin along with a handful of others from an estate sale of a lifelong coin collector so save me as a seller and I will continue to list a few coins every week until they are all gone. Coin grading is more of an art than a science and I am not a professional coin grader so please look at the pictures to decide on the grade and value of this coin for yourself.
