Springfield Arsenal U.S. 1914 WWI Calvary Sword w/Sheath
The sword and sheath measure 42 1/2" long.
The blade measures 35" long.  The blade is pointed and straight.
A small amount of sheath wear and occasional tiny metal spotting is noted.
The bottom of the sword, near the guard says "S (trademark) A 1914" on one side and on the other side it says "US".
There is a number under "US" that is partially blocked by the guard.
The guard measures 6" wide.
There are some minor scratches noted on the guard.
There is patina due to age and some surface dirt on the guard.
A small amount of surface dirt is noted.
The grip and pommel measure 7" long. The grip is intact and shows, what looks to be some white paint speckles.
The sheath measures 36" long. There is fading, scratches, and wear on the surface material of the sheath. The metal on each end shows metal wear and discoloration   All nails on both ends are tight and in tact.
An area is noted at the top of the sheath on the metal that looks like a coating drip that dried.
